Easy divorce, unmarried couples who live together, and now redefining marriage are not just disasters for those involved… they are the number one poverty creators in our country. Any approach to poverty that ignores strengthening Biblical marriage may help those who are in poverty, but won’t slow down the creation of those in poverty.
The church must lead our communities to have strong marriages. To our shame divorce is rampant in the church. To impact poverty in America, we need to get our own house in order, strengthen marriages, and invest in the next generation so that their families are healthy and remain intact.
