Two words you can never say enough

When I lived in Turkey I led a team of over 100 missionaries. Whenever we would do evaluations, one thing that would often come up is that people didn’t really feel appreciated.

I resolved that whenever it was appropriate that I would tell people thank-you for their work and when it was true I would tell them that they did a good job.

At church this week, we are studying Romans. Paul begins the letter with “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you.”

Gratefulness is a Christian virtue that rightly values and honors the people that God gives us to serve and as we thank God, we acknowledge in humility that he is the source of all good gifts.

Today let’s remember to express gratitude to the people around us.
