The insider movement is an attempt to help Christianity be more accepted and spread among Muslim people groups. It works toward proclaiming the essential Gospel truth, but working to shed any extra elements that are cultural or traditional. The insider movement is controversial in that it advocates for a minimum change in the practices of new Muslim believers. What should their identity be? Is it ok for them to still say they are Muslims? Should they continue to worship at a mosque? How should they regard the Koran? Do they have to go to church?
