Whew… many things to think about… deciding to go, preparing, picking an assignment… Hopefully these posts have helped to clarify your thinking to make a sound decision. I disagree with those who say that everyone is “called to go” and that you need a special “calling” to stay. However, when I talk with qualified people who are on the fence about cross-cultural service… I nudge them toward Going! It is easier to find someone to replace whatever you do for the kingdom in your home culture, than to find quality missionaries to go and serve the unreached. I served overseas for sixteen years and, if I had to do it over again, would decide exactly the same way!
