A friend of mine that I originally met at our church in Iowa just published a book, “Istanbul Moves.” It combines graphic design and photography to give a hundreds of new views of an old city. Justin has lived in Istanbul for eight years.
From his web site describing the book:
The contributors, Justin Eccles and Jose Reina, use talent and technique to create works that mix graphic design and photography. When this duo combine their efforts, the outcome is simultaneously uninhibited and calculated. Their works are exactly in tune with the story of the constantly moving, modern city. They are visually communicating the symmetry and reflection of a place that has many contradictions and opposite extremes.
Also, see a recent article in Today’s Zaman, a Turkish Newspaper (article in English).
Good job Justin!
